Delicious and Nutritious

This strawberry mint green smoothie is packed full of vitamins and minerals. Strawberries offer a lot of vitamin C as well as potassium and magnesium. Bananas also offer potassium, vitamin C, and magnesium. Raw kale is an excellent source of vitamins A and C and potassium. Mint, the star of the show, contains menthol which is known to have digestive benefits as well as several other health advantages. For more information on the benefits of mint from evidence based research, I recommend you check out this article here.

I love mint, especially when paired with chocolate. Jarrod however, isn’t a fan of eating mint. In his opinion mint is only for toothpaste and chewing gum. Apparently he thinks he is eating toothpaste when he eats something with mint flavors? πŸ™„ Does anyone else not like mint foods for this reason? Or is Jarrod just super weird? I’m gonna go with weird on this one. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Recipe and Instructions

All you need is 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of fresh strawberries, a few fresh mint leaves, a handful of kale or spinach, 1/2 cup of greek yogurt, a sweetener (I like to use stevia but you can also use honey), and some ice cubes! Place everything in your blender and blend until smooth. Simple and tasty! This recipe makes a single serving. To serve more than 1, simply multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you would like!
